A distinct pleasure to meet so many of you over the weekend. I laughed, I cried and I left with SO many take-aways. I'm starting to get a bigger picture and really like what I'm seeing/feeling. Thanks for the Stoke, one and all. And bajeesus, I gotta get to work.

I returned to my office this morning feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and was blown away by what was waiting for me on my desk. I have a new practice and my tech whom has been with me for of a total of 4 MONTHS left me a box of my favorite chocolates with this note...I wanted to share with you all.
"Thank you for taking me to Sioux Falls and allowing me to witness the "force" behind DC Mentors. I feel like I am part of a team and you all are doing amazing things. It was truly a moving experience. Thanks for everything!"
Thank you so much to all of DC Mentors for having created such a strong tribe! Our techs can feel our passion and it's contagious!

It was great to put faces to all the those that I have gotten to interact with on here. Looking forward to our future. I am bouncing with energy from the weekend. No offense to the boys, they were all great, but Dr. T's segment on children was like an arrow to the heart. If that can't get you to take it up a few more notches... pull the plug. We got people to save!

What a blast!! Let me tell you, the more I go the more fun, knowledge and wisdom I get from all of you. Thanks for the energy. My major takeaway was Dt T´s lecture on children and its impact on my wife. If I enjoyed it , for my wife was a life-changing experience. She threw away all the candies in the house the night we arrived and scheduled my kids for adjustment on Mondays from now on just to keep the commitment. The Stop it! video is still ringing her ears. She enjoyed having been embraced by all of you and came to realize why I pushed her about attending. We´ll see you in Brain Spa.

The Bamba Team had a great seminar as well. They see there is a better and bighter option for our profession.

The segment on children blew me away also. I just want to tell every parent in my practice to bring their kids in!!! I finally got what BAR really means to me. The huge part of that was that I cannot have two conflicting beliefs in my head at the same time because they confuse my brain, therefore, contributing to my lack of action and leading to mediocre results. It was so refreshing to see everyone. My soul was thirsty to embrace the tribe. Thanks again.

You know, usually I have one ah-ha moment at these things, but this year was way different. It seemed like many different things hit the right spot. I agree with you guys, Dr. T's segment was awesome. Think we can get her to do pod's on it?

I returned to my office Monday morning so excited for a phenomenal week. My office staff, having not been at the seminar, used her day off to put her 19 year old dog down (yes she's had it since 4th grade). Somehow I let the stink of that give us a mediocre day on Monday... (can you imagine?) Tuesday I left home early, went to the gym and reviewed ALL my notes from the seminar. I went to the office and actually implemented all the things I learned from the seminar. I spent the whole morning getting rid of the 1 min time wasters, rearranging my adjusting rooms, putting up a white board for PT ed, updating my website with pediatric info to reach more people, took the computer out of my office so I wasn't tempted to sit there in tweener time... you name it. While doing that, 3 new patients called and got scheduled. My staff couldn't be there, but I had to share that energy with her.
I actually did the ICPA pediatric diplomate program during and after school and somehow I had not been inspiring people to bring their kiddos in to get adjusted. No more! I talk to EVERY single parent about the importance of bringing their kiddos in. I'm putting up a kids wall in my office. There wasn't just ONE ah-ha moment for me. I was right there with every part of the seminar. I was very wide-eyed at Brain Spa last fall, many of those concepts (like the FLOW chart) finally came together here and I've been experiencing that for the first time in practice! Thanks everyone who helped me with activator!Posted 1 year ago # -
Looks like a bunch of us got hit with the Dr. T. pediatric virus, it's very contagious. Driving down to a seminar in Portland this weekend, how's that for timing? BTW, how's this for synchronicity? Hired a new Exam Tech last week, not the one I brought to the seminar. No experience with chiropractic. Walking through the office for the interview process she sees the spine and nerve chart, I see her eyes light up. I tell her about the spine and nervous system and some great miracles of chiropractic in our office one in particular about a child. Her eyes well up. She says she wants to know everything. She opens up and shares that her 3 year old was born with a tethered spinal cord that required surgery a year and a half ago. She has a small brain, small body, rotated and inverted feet with braces, brace for her scoliosis, bowel problems and a gag reflex when attempting to swallow solid foods. My new tech had her mother bring the little one in yesterday. I told the mother and daughter how we had to turn our own daughter over to the Lord and the surgeon on day 2 of her life because of an incompletely formed colon. How she had a colostomy bag for 6 months before her resection. It got a little emotional, not very doctor like but very human like. They knew my wife and I had been down a similar path. I looked deep into the little ones big brown eyes and we connected, she smiled. We laid her down on the table and she had her first chiropractic adjustment. To be continued.....

I for one am looking forward to the next chapter in that story...perhaps thats why your new exam tech was sent to you...
I heard somewhere this week that whether you believe you can or believe you can't, you are right. I believe I can. The Revive seminar couldn't have come at a better time for me for both professional and personal reasons. I am certainly revived. There were so many great messages but the biggest message I got is that I can. I can be a better person, a better chiropractor, a better business person, manager, entrepreneur and leader. My attitude this week in clinic has been so different, I hardly recognise myself. I was thinking I would love to bottle how I've been feeling this week and you know what I can...by writing a journal. So I bought a really pretty hardback book with pink flowers and I've started to write. If my negative self sabotague returns then all I've to do is read it. Happy days.

Mairead, So proud of you. You are growing by leaps and bounds. Remember, if you get a little weak, (we all have our moments) call the coaches, or Sean, or contact one of us, but don't open yourself up to others. Keep it close to the vest. About my new tech, I am certain it was not coincidence she was 'sent' to me. Will keep you posted.

First Dr.Alan great seeing you again in MSP and Sioux Falls. The story you told your tech about what you and your wife and child went through, That Is Your Story! Not a story you tell everyone, but for that "patient", that was the story to tell. It didn't have to be about the spine, or from the Green Books, or even from Dr.T's preentation, just your story.
Dr.Mairead, so great hanging with you, love sharing your journey. I recalled Dr.Perron mentioning the book "The Noticier", I am listening to it now, Dr.M get it, listen or read it, a wonderful story. I am not far through it, however the main theme seems to be Perspective, and sometimes we cannot see our own, but someone else can (coaches and mentorites), I think most here will agree you have always been what you are seeing now, great to have YOU with us!
