Hi guys,
Unfortunately it has taken me way too long to figure out this great medium to communicate with everyone. I am amazed at he great dialogue with the last posting. Very inspirational and action provoking. It has been a long holiday season for us this year and thought I would share a thought or two that has helped me get through it. Having a lot of 'C' in me, at the best of times it is difficult to get my alone (cave) time in outside of the practice. With the holidays, running back and forth to the airport picking up family, having guests, and preparing for gatherings it is even more difficult. Having learned this last year I mentally prepared better in advance so that I could go in to work with my mind present and not some where else. A remarkable thing happenned, more walk ins, had new patients that where visiting from out of town and 'just wanted an adjustment', and more reactivated patients came in to the office.
It was much easier having fun listening to the same old 'holiday chatter' from patients, and giving them something mindful back that helped keep me focussed helped them leave with a bit more energy to deal with things in their life. The last house guest has left, and I am looking forward to 4 days of cave time to help me recharge for 2010. I love the black tie idea, along with the post holiday vacation, and I will add that next year to have something fun to look forward to, so I can have an even more exciting holiday season next year. Thanks!
