Hey guys, wanted to run through a patient with you. I am currently seeing a 15-yr old female patient. Her Chief complaints are headaches and dizzyness. ~4 weeks duration. From patients' description, the pain travels up the right and left side of the head, also from the back of the head up to the top of the head and is constant. They do not wrap around or travel to the forehead, behind the eyes, etc. Sometimes the actual top/back of the head is tender/painful upon palpation. Pain medication does not alleviate the pain. Initial SEMG/Thermal scans show quite a bit of activity in the cervical region, xrays reveal reversed cervical curve with a pretty significant head forward posture. Patient has already had CT and MRI, which show up normal.
I am using Activator protocol and instrument for all adjusting, but am curious if I am missing something. After the first 3-4 adjustments patient showed some good progress. Less intense pain, and went for a day or two with no headaches. Since then, the headaches have been fairly constant with little to no improvement. I have been adjusting her for about 4 weeks now...last friday, I was more hopeful, she didn't have the headache if she was standing up or walking around, but the pain would return if she was sitting or lying down.
Any suggestions out there? After the first few adjustments, she was starting to hold better, but not much change since. Sorry, this is kind of rambling, I'm just trying to paint as clear a picture as I can. Thanks in advance for your help.
